Despite the winter weather, visitors from across the region came to get in the festive spirit at Longbridge town centre last weekend (10th December) for its Christmas Market.
Opening at 9am, guests were treated to community stalls, street food, gifts and Santa’s grotto. Warming treats such as samosas, hot pancakes and mulled wine were available, as well as local butchers, craft makers and beauty products - perfect for Christmas presents.
Sat in his festive grotto, Father Christmas took delivery of children’s Christmas lists as well as handing out a special gift to girls and boys. People also enjoyed carols from the Northfield community choir.
In the spirit of giving, Sytner Birmingham offered visitors the chance to enter a prize draw, in aid of Barnados, to win the exclusive use of one of their Minis over the Christmas period, including a boot full of goodies donated by the Longbridge Town Centre retailers.
Mike Murray, Development Director at St. Modwen said: “The Christmas market was a huge success for Longbridge town centre and we are pleased that so many people turned out to enjoy the festivities. Both we and Barnardos hope to bring the market back next year.”
