Travel and parking
Longbridge is situated off the A38 Bristol Road South, off Longbridge Lane. Birmingham city centre is around 10 miles to the north and the M5 (Junction 4) and M42 (Junction 2) are both less than three miles away.
Longbridge boasts easy access to the public transport network, with the added benefit of its own mainline railway station, just across the road from the new town centre.
The town centre is regularly served both by bus and rail, providing direct access to Birmingham University, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Birmingham New Street to the north and Redditch to the south. Birmingham Airport is also under 30 minutes’ drive away.

Making your shopping experience easier and more pleasurable, Longbridge town centre offers two car parks, in addition to a park and ride facility.
For businesses or people wishing to visit the town for longer periods, a long stay car park is available in the MSCP levels 3 & 4, accessed off the A38 Lickey Road. There is also a park and ride facility for people wishing to visit Longbridge or travel into Birmingham.
A 1,200 space multi-storey and a 500 space surface car park (including 12 electric vehicle charging points) is also provided at the heart of the town centre. Parking is free for the first three hours and is priced at £3.50 thereafter up to a maximum of £6 for a 24 hour stay. A further 400 spaces are available at Sainsbury’s supermarket, which are also free for three hours.

Both car parks are operated by the Veri-Park system which is a highly flexible, dynamic and intuitive Internet based barrierless parking system. It is made up of three key elements:
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) - Cameras and software
This provides images and timed entry / exit data evidence of all vehicles using relevant car park facilities.
The Veri-Park pay machine
This allows Customers to pay for parking before leaving the car park. Please ensure you have your vehicle registration number, as you will be required to enter this into the machine. Payment options include cash, card and merchant issued bar codes.
The Veri-Park online service
By signing up to an account at www.longbridge.veripark.co.uk, users have the ability to pay for parking in 3 different ways:
- By pre-paying before entering the car park. Known as “flexi-park”, this is an option to have a service which deducts money from a pre-paid purse each time you visit a car park.
- By paying after exiting the car park, up to 24 hours after your visit.
- Users of the long stay car park can also purchase monthly or annual season tickets which are ideal for frequent car park users, offering a reduced 24/7 rate.

Parking is also available for customers at Sainsbury’s supermarket and the new M&S store, subject to a controlled time limit.
