The £100 million town centre is the retail and leisure heart of Longbridge, carefully blending national and local brands to create an extensive shopping environment.
The Midlands’ largest Marks & Spencer store, with an extensive offering of fashion, food and homeware, plus a nail and brow beauty bar and prosecco bar, opened at Longbridge in November 2015.
The store joins Boots, Poundland, Holland & Barrett, Mountain Warehouse, Smyths Toystore, EE and Bairstow Eves in the glazed fronted retail units. They join the retailers of the successful initial phase of the town centre, which include Sainsbury’s, Premier Inn, Costa Coffee, Greggs, The Cambridge and Beefeater Grill.
Longbridge Town Centre is located in an area of the Birmingham conurbation which has a shortage of modern retail floor space. More than 200,000 people live within a ten minute drive, including affluent Barnt Green, and around 64,000 shoppers visit the town centre each week.
The surrounding population has a younger age profile. The Town Centre is designed with a range of retail and leisure uses in order to draw in members of the currently underserved local community.
